- According to the train schedule, go to Harbin Railway Station by yourself and take a hard sleeper train to Mohe.

1. Arctic Village Scenic Area (Entrance ticket included; scenic area battery car fee: CNY 30/person, at your own

expense)

It is the best place in China to observe the aurora borealis and the location of China’s "Northernmost Outpost". As

the northernmost town in China, it has a simple folk custom, quiet and fresh environment, strong local flavor, and

well-preserved vegetation and ecological environment. Around the summer solstice, when the polar day occurs,

looking north at midnight, the sky turns pale, like evening or dawn. Every year, many people from all over the world

come here to experience the happiness of being in the northernmost part of China.

2. Northernmost Post Office

Visit the "Christmas Post Office", buy a postcard, stamp it with the Christmas postmark, and send the northernmost

greetings to your family and friends.

3. Northernmost Family

Located by the Heilongjiang River and in the northernmost part of Arctic Village, this house is a "wooden house" (Mu

Keleng-style cabin) facing south and backing north. It is the northernmost household in China in terms of latitude.

4. Shenzhou Arctic Monument

The Shenzhou Arctic Stone is located in the center of the square, with the four characters "Shenzhou Arctic" (Arctic

of China) engraved on its front. This stone is as famous as the "Southern Sky Pillar" in Tianya (the southernmost tip

of China) and echoes it from afar, serving as a landmark building of the Arctic in China. Take photos in front of this

stone to commemorate your trip to the Arctic.

5. Arctic Sandbar

The Heilongjiang River flows gently here, with beautiful scenery. It faces Russia across the river. Along the river, you

can enjoy the view of the small village with strong exotic characteristics in the Russian Far East – 【Ignasino

Village】. There is a tall three-dimensional "North" character sign by the river and a large "Golden Rooster Tripod"

(referring to China’s territory shape like a golden rooster). The dragon head on the tripod faces southward to the

land of the motherland from the north.

6. Exterior View of the Northernmost Outpost

Every year, when the midnight bell rings on the Spring Festival Gala, there are scenes of soldiers from this

northernmost outpost in the motherland greeting the people across the country. This is the Border Outpost. It has a

beautiful environment and superior conditions, but its northernmost location makes it famous all over the world and a

must-visit place for tourists to Arctic Village.

1. Polaris Square (also known as Xishan Square)

You can climb high to overlook the entire Mohe County. The Polaris sculpture located at the top of 153 steps is

named "Take-off". On the left is a swan about to spread its wings and fly, and on the right is a golden rooster singing

loudly, meaning that Mohe is "the crown of the golden rooster and the head of the swan" (referring to Mohe’s

location in the northernmost part of China, which is shaped like a golden rooster). The star at the top is the Polaris,

symbolizing that Mohe is a bright star in the northern border of the motherland.

2. Songyuan Park

It is the only primitive forest park located in the center of a city in China. The main tree species are Mongolian pine

and larch. When flowers bloom, the park becomes a sea of flowers, with green trees shading the sun, flowers

everywhere, and a pleasant fragrance filling the air, presenting an extremely beautiful scene.

3. May 6th Fire Memorial Hall (Complimentary attraction; no refund if closed)

It was built to commemorate the catastrophic forest fire that occurred in the Greater Khingan Range on May 6, 1987.
